Microsoft Office Coming To Linux?

OSDL expects low cost Linux Office version to keep Open Office at bay. Microsoft within the “next couple of years” will release a version of its Office productivity to run on Linux, Stuart Cohen, chief executive for the Open Source Development Labs, predicted in an interview with vnunet.com at the Linuxworld conference in San Francicso.

A new way to test your bandwidth (and it looks pretty cool too!)

The site allows you to select servers to ping from around the country on an interactive map and graphically displays connections as they travel with varying speeds along the way. It also lets you store results of tests for your computer and sort them by date, time, speed and distance.

RIAA member companies have pulled a long list of legal stunts. This trumps them all in my opinion. To put it in plain and simple English, what Sony BMG have asked is that the court remove the 1st amendment rights of the defendant and the defendant’s council in order to save them from public scrutiny of their own words during deposition.
